This terminal was at the core of Edmonton International Airport’s initial growth when it opened on November 15, 1960 for passenger service and it will once again be at the centre of Edmonton’s growth by providing services to the expanding industrial charter passenger market.
On September 24, EFC hosted their grand opening ceremony. Dean Buckland, President of Executive Flight Centre was joined by Tom Ruth, President and CEO of EIA and John Schonewille, Deputy Mayor of Leduc to announce the official opening. In celebration of newly modernized terminal, a chock pulling was done using a fully restored 1953 Expeditor.
